Summer School Information for 2019

Is your child in the unfortunate position of needing summer school?  Here’s the info that is available about summer school for all the grades!

District Summer School

The district will hold a Summer School program at Franklin Learning Center this summer at no cost to district students. See below for student eligibility.

Registration Dates: May 23-June 6 (See Ms. Harvey-Sallak in room 210)
Program Dates: June 17 – July 19 (closed July 1-5) (Monday-Friday)
Location: Franklin Learning Center, 616 N 15th St
Time: 8:15 AM – 1:30 PM

Course Offerings:  English 1, English 2, English 3, World History, African American History, US History, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Physical Science, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish 1, and Spanish 2
12th Grade ONLY Offerings: English 4, Social Science, Statistics, Precalculus, Physics, Elective, Arts/Humanities, Physical Education, Health, Multi-Disciplinary Project

12th Grade Students: Any current 12th grade student is eligible to attend summer school for up to two credit recovery courses. 12th grade students who need Multidisciplinary Project to graduate can complete this requirement in addition. Students who meet graduation requirements at the end of the Summer School program will receive their High School diploma. Students in summer school will not be granted waivers for any graduation requirements.

11th Grade Students: Any current 11th grade student is eligible to attend summer school for up to two credit recovery core courses.

Alternate Summer School Options

Students who are not eligible for the district summer program can attend an Alternative Summer Program at their own expense. Students can only register for classes that they have failed. The district will not accept credits from providers other than those listed below.
